Slack reminders from Claude or ChatGPT, with your calendar in them

Have your agent post a Slack reminder every morning with the day's meetings, who's attending and what to prepare. Set it once in plain words.

Using Corsair, every weekday at 9am New York time send me a Slack message with today's meetings from my Google Calendar: the time, the title and who's attending. Mark any meeting with someone outside my company.

Runs on its own: every weekday at 9:00 New York time

How to run it

  1. 1

Connect Slack and Google Calendar in Corsair

Sign in to each app once. Corsair keeps the credentials and makes the calls, so your agent never sees a password or key.

  2. 2

Add Corsair's MCP server to your agent

Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor and Claude Code use the same address:

    https://mcp.corsair.dev/mcp

    Steps for each client

ChatGPT personal plans get read tools only, and this prompt sets up a routine. On those plans, use Claude, Cursor or Claude Code instead.

  3. 3

    Paste the prompt

Your agent hands it to Corsair as a routine. Corsair builds and tests it, then runs it on its own: every weekday at 9:00 New York time. Change the names in it (channels, repos, teams, time zone) to your own.

Why the prompt is written this way

Say when, in your words

"Every weekday at 9am New York time" is enough. Use your own city: Corsair runs the routine at 9am there, daylight saving time included.

Say where it goes

"Send me a Slack message" goes to you. Name a channel instead, like #standup, to remind the whole team.

Say what to include

Time, title and attendees keep it short. Add "the agenda from the invite" if your meetings have one.

Tools it calls

The Corsair tools your agent uses for this job. Writes follow your link's mode: on a Strict link, each one waits for your approval.

Good to know

  • For a fixed reminder with nothing from another app, Slack's own /remind command is simpler. Use this when the reminder needs your calendar or other data.
  • It reads the calendar of the Google account you connected in Corsair, not shared calendars you have not been invited to.

Questions

No. When a prompt says when to run, your agent hands it to Corsair as a routine. Corsair builds and tests it, then runs it on its own. Ask your agent to list your routines, to pause or remove one, or whether one ran ("did the Slack summary run this morning?").

The one you name. Put your city or time zone in the prompt, as these prompts do with New York, and Corsair runs the routine at that local time, daylight saving time included. If you leave it out, your agent asks once. To check, ask your agent to list your routines: each one shows its time and time zone.

/remind posts the same text at a set time. This reads your calendar each morning and writes a new message from it, so the reminder changes with your day. You can also change it later by asking your agent in plain words.
